Operate a tractor trailer with dump trailer to transport scrap metal and other materials between customer sites, recycling yards, and company facilities.
Perform multiple trailer swaps daily in coordination with dispatch.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
Ensure accurate load securement and safe dumping of materials.
Maintain daily driver logs, trip reports, and related documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and yard personnel regarding schedules, delays, and issues.
Follow all state, federal, and company regulations regarding equipment operation and safety.
Keep truck and equipment clean and well-maintained.
Provide professional and courteous service to customers and team members.
Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
Minimum 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience (experience with dump trailers preferred).
Knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement, and proper dumping procedures.
Ability to perform basic truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong attention to safety and reliability.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Ability to climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Work in outdoor environments, including exposure to weather and scrap yard conditions.
