Role Overview: Safely transport goods over-the-road (OTR) or regionally, ensuring timely and secure deliveries while maintaining compliance with all federal and state motor carrier regulations. Key Responsibilities: Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently across designated routes. Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections. Properly manage hours of service (HOS) logs using electronic logging devices (ELD). Maintain open communication with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, updates, and route efficiency. Adhere to strict safety standards, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) laws.

To qualify for a driving position with BG Xpress LLC candidates must meet the following criteria: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): Must hold a valid CDL (typically Class A for OTR positions) with a clean driving record. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience. Age Requirements: Minimum age of 23 years old (for company drivers). Medical Certification: Must possess a current and valid DOT medical certificate. Compliance & Background Checks:Must pass a thorough background check covering driving history and criminal records. Must clear FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse checks. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and adhere to random testing policies. Safety & Professionalism: Strong commitment to customer service, punctuality, and maintaining a solid safety record with no major traffic violations. For Owner-Operators (Additional): Must own a compliant, well-maintained truck, meet specific insurance/physical damage coverage requirements, and comply with all independent contractor guidelines.
